Teenager struck, killed by drunk driver in Orange

A 19-year-old man was crossing Tustin Street in Heim Avenue when he was struck by a Ford F-250 pickup truck.

The accident occurred in the late evening when the pickup ran a red light while traveling southbound on Tustin Street. The victim was traversing the north side of the intersection when he was hit.

Police arrived at the scene to find Uriostegui dead. The pickup driver, later identified as Sitani Pimoni, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was later booked on suspicion of murder and is being held on no bail.

Pimoni had a previous DUI conviction in Los Angeles County, according to Sgt. Phil McMullin.
